CUPE Local 4165 Bursary
Local 4165 provides four individual $500 bursaries every year to qualifying graduating students in School District No 5. One bursary for each secondary school in the district is available through their scholarship/ bursary program at:
Mount Baker Secondary
Elkford Secondary
Sparwood Secondary
Fernie Secondary
To qualify:
One $500 bursary is awarded to a relative of a CUPE Local 4165 member. if none apply, the bursary is awarded to another deserving student. The bursaries consider need and scholastic achievement and are chosen by the scholarship committee and/or school.
To obtain bursary, eligible students must enroll in a bona fide post-secondary institution of their choice within eighteen months following their successful candidacy.
